Following Treatment, an Emirati Couple Injured in the Prague Shooting Returns to the United Arab Emirates

Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, Emirati Couple Rowdah Al Mehrizi, and her husband underwent two rounds of treatment in Germany and the Czech Republic following their injuries sustained in a shooting incident in the Czech Republic in December. They returned to the UAE on Monday.

“My spouse and I have completed the treatment phase in the Czech Republic and Germany… and I thank God for the blessing of wellness and the love of the people that we sought from the many messages and communications during this ordeal,” Rowdah wrote on the X platform.

The incident’s history dates back to December of last year when Rowdah and her spouse were sent to intensive care after suffering gunshot wounds in the Czech Republic.

The Honorable To inquire about the couple’s well-being, Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, the ruler of Umm Al Quwain and a member of the Supreme Council, called Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim Obaid Al Ali, the director general of the Municipality of Umm Al Quwain.

The Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also called to inquire about the well-being of engineer Al Ali and his spouse, Rowdah.
