In Abu Dhabi, Careless Drivers Cause Horrifying Traffic Accidents

As part of the ‘Your Comment’ campaign, the Abu Dhabi Police posted a video of accidents caused by driving while distracted and failing to pay attention during traffic stoppages in collaboration with the Control and Follow-up Center; the risk of distracted driving is successfully brought up in the video.

Drivers must obey traffic safety laws in order to guarantee road safety. According to the Abu Dhabi Police, this entails being aware of unexpected vehicle stops on internal and exterior highways, driving without distractions, and looking for unexpected roadside obstacles.

Drivers must be aware of the risks of using their phone while driving. Browsing the internet, using social media, making calls, taking pictures, and other behaviours can cause serious accidents,” the police added.

It is crucial to note that distracted driving results in a fine of Dhs800 and 4 traffic points.
