Four Saudi nationals detained for violating charity trust

Riyadh: The Public Prosecution is looking into four citizens in Saudi for suspected acts of bad faith and breach of trust in managing a charitable organization.

They are charged with violating the confidence and trust put in them by paying out financial obligations totaling more than SR1 million ($266,666) without following the law and withholding allowances from association employees and other parties.

After being taken into custody, the accused were reported to the appropriate court to face legal penalties for their actions against financial fraud and breach of trust.

The Public Prosecution stated that it supported the legal safeguarding of nonprofit charitable associations and their assets, emphasizing that hurting or taking advantage of them was illegal and would be dealt with harshly by the law.
