According to Palestinian officials, the media, and eyewitnesses, Israeli soldiers carried out deadly raids throughout the Gaza Strip on Sunday. They targeted a hospital in the south, a refugee camp in the north, and a teenage girl who had lost her leg in a previous attack.
Ninety Palestinians were killed on Sunday by Israeli strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, a spokeswoman for the Gaza health ministry told Reuters. 24 persons were killed in another rocket attack on the Shehab family’s home, according to Hamas Aqsa radio.
According to a group official who spoke to Reuters, among the dead was the son of Hamas ally Dawoud Shehab.
Numerous individuals had been killed or injured in the Shehab family home and surrounding structures, according to a medic.
“We believe the number of dead people under the rubble is huge but there is no way to remove the rubble and recover them because of the intensity of Israeli fire,” he stated via telephone.
Twelve Palestinians were reported dead and scores injured in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, according to doctors, while an Israeli airstrike on a house in Rafah, in the south, claimed the lives of at least four individuals.
To save those buried beneath the debris, people raced to the structure. Mahmoud Jarbou, a local, told Reuters that the explosion sounded “as powerful as an earthquake”.
