Watch: Sheikh Mohammed Flies in Chopper Over Palm Jumeirah, Smiles at Dubai

The Dubai Ruler, experienced in chopper piloting, decided to sit this one out on Wednesday and instead enjoy the fantastic city vistas as a passenger.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, was seen enjoying the picturesque views over the Palm Jumeirah from a helicopter on the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

The Head of Protocol, Khalifa Saeed, can be seen grinning at the scene below and taking in the view in the brief video posted to his Instagram account.

Sheikh Mohammed met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi shortly after he uploaded the royal’s video. The royals were observed having a cordial discussion.

On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, the President of the United Arab Emirates cordially welcomed and conversed with royals and leaders from all seven emirates at Al Mushrif Palace.

The Dubai Ruler had earlier wished the UAE’s citizens, as well as those of the Arab and Islamic worlds, a happy Eid.

Sheikh Mohammed ‘congratulated the people of the Emirates and other Arab and Islamic peoples on Eid’ in a social media post. In his letter, he prayed, “May God cover us all with His blessings and give us the chance to commemorate this happy event with goodness and wealth. May we be acknowledged for our obedience during this auspicious month.”
