Life Will Change: An Indian Traveler Wins $1 Million While Commemorating an Anniversary in Dubai

Indian Rupa Harish Dhawan and Nana Kakihara, who purchased their first tickets, were joined to the ever-expanding list of millionaires as the results of the most recent Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw were revealed on Wednesday at Dubai International Airport.

The 49-year-old Indian Rupa Harish Dhawan won $1 million with ticket number 2869, which she bought on January 28 while returning to Mumbai from Dubai. Rupa is a homemaker and mother of three who purchases tickets for the first time.

As they were returning to Mumbai after their 25th wedding anniversary celebration in Dubai, her husband convinced her to buy a ticket for the Dubai Duty-Free promotion at the airport.

“I never had such good fortune or a win, so it was significant to me. It’s unbelievable that my life would be transformed by my first ticket to Dubai Duy Free. She remarked, “I will always be grateful to Dubai Duty-Free for this.

Indian nationals are the largest ticket purchasers for the Millennium Millionaire program, which began in 1999, and Rupa is the 224th Indian to win $1 million in the competition.
