Thanks to a recent labor law revision, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre) now has the authority to resolve conflicts for Dh50,000 or less out of court.

During a session on Thursday at the Mohre headquarters in Muhaisnah, a group of legal researchers provided additional information regarding the law and its consequences.

How to report: The Mohre office is where any employee with a labor problem can lodge a complaint. This can be completed over the phone at 60056566, in person, or online.

What occurs: The Ministry will assess the complaint upon receipt and take the appropriate action to resolve it cooperatively. Either of these two things occurs if this isn’t feasible: The labor dispute moves forward with legal proceedings if its worth exceeds Dh50,000. The Ministry takes over the resolution of labor disputes valued at less than Dh50,000.
