Buses to Oman are "fully booked" despite rising airfares.

Travel agents claimed that ‘visa-changing packages’ were fully booked, which presents a challenge for travellers from the United Arab Emirates who wish to travel to Oman by bus and change their visa status.

Visitors to the UAE are encouraged to make travel arrangements well in advance, as buses to Oman are frequently full. Experts advise them to apply for the package “a minimum of ten days before their visit visa expires.”.

“Buses are running to their capacity daily, and visitors wanting to avail the service must reserve the package well in advance,” stressed Firoz Maliyakkal, founder and CEO of Tahira Tours and Travels. The demand for visa changes when traveling to Oman by bus has skyrocketed. Over 100 inquiries are coming in.”

Travel agents report that a private aggregator used to run three daily bus trips. To accommodate the demand, other private agencies have begun offering bus services.

“Eight privately run buses with a capacity for over 300 people currently run from Sunday to Wednesday and are fully booked for the next ten days,” Feroz continued.
