Israel refutes claims made before the UN Supreme Court of Palestinian genocide.

Speaking to a crowded auditorium at The Hague’s elaborate Palace of Peace, Israel legal counsel Tal Becker said that his nation is engaged in a “war it did not start and did not want.”

He continued, stating that the terrible suffering endured by people during wartime was insufficient to establish a case of genocide against Israel. “In these circumstances, there can hardly be a charge more false and more malevolent than the allegation of genocide against Israel.”

Attorneys for South Africa requested on Thursday that the Israeli military immediately cease its activities in the beleaguered coastal region, which is home to 2.3 million Palestinians. Though it’s uncertain if Israel would abide by any court orders, a ruling on that motion will likely take weeks, and the entire lawsuit will likely take years.

Israel emphasized the savagery of the October 7 attacks on Friday, highlighting the events of that day with a presentation of terrifying audio and video to a silent audience.
