The Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeal has been tasked with trying 84 individuals; the majority of them are members of the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood (State Security Court). They are on trial for creating a second covert organization to carry out terrorist and violent crimes inside the UAE.
The defendants concealed the crime and the supporting evidence before being detained and put on trial in State Security Case No. 17 of 2013.

The State Security Court assigns a lawyer for every defendant without an attorney and starts public trial processes. The public trial procedures are still in progress, and the court has begun to hear witness testimony
