Sheikh Sultan accepts Sharjah's general budget for 2024, which calls for spending over Dhs40.832 billion.

The Honorable The general budget of the emirate for 2024 was authorized by Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Council. The budget’s total expenditure of around Dhs40.832 billion makes it the greatest in the emirate’s history.

The new budget, which is 16% bigger than the previous year’s, intends to assure social security and safety, sustainable energy, water, and food resources, decent living and social welfare, and financial sustainability.

The budget is predicated on fortifying the financial pillars in order to create a cutting-edge social, cultural, civilizational, and health environment and to guarantee that the emirate’s citizens reap the rewards of economic growth.

Additionally, it aims to strengthen government capacities to confront regional and worldwide difficulties brought on by unstable global economics, which are represented in all nations and include high interest rates, inflation, and economic recessions.

The Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, expressed gratitude to His Highness the Sharjah Ruler for approving the general budget. The new budget, the biggest in the emirate’s history, will support the advancement of civilization and progress to guarantee a respectable and stable future.
