Dubai New Year's celebration: announcement of alternative parking and metro closure

Plan your New Year’s celebration carefully by leaving early and using the parking facilities at Emaar District if you want to see the spectacular fireworks at Burj Khalifa and ring in 2024 close to this famous monument. The lower parking lots of Boulevard, Fountain View, Zabeel, and Dubai Mall collectively offer about 20,000 parking spots.

Residents who want a hassle-free experience should consider other parking options. Park in Al Jafiliya Parking or Al Wasl Club (the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs’ parking lots). According to the authorities, more parking spots would be provided outside the event area. At 3:00 pm, public transportation buses will leave these parking lots, including 500 spaces at Al Wasl Club and 400 rooms at Al Jafiliya (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs).

For those attending the celebrations surrounding the Burj Khalifa, these substitute parking spaces offer a practical and easily accessible solution. Parking on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road in either direction is forbidden.
