Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to dedicate the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the region in Abu Dhabi. BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha is building the temple.
February 14, 2024, will mark the much-anticipated opening of the renowned BAPS Hindu Mandir with a unique “Festival of Harmony.”
The board of directors, Pujya Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas met with Modi at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi, on behalf of the temple, inviting him to open the BAPS Hindu Mandir.
According to the temple’s organizers, “Prime Minister Modi graciously accepted the invitation, expressing his enthusiastic support for the historic and iconic temple.”
In the announcement, Modi emphasized that the BAPS Hindu Mandir would spread the Sanskrit term “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which translates to “The World Is One Family.”
It will embody Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’s goal of a perfect spiritual place that synthesizes many civilizations and cultures rather than just a place grounded in customs and beliefs. The route forward, representing the core of spiritual peace,” Modi stated.
