A BJP leader stated on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to travel to Thrissur, Kerala, on January 2.

K. Surendran, head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kerala branch, stated that the prime minister will speak at a women’s gathering while he is there.

The purpose of the event is to express gratitude for the Women’s Reservation Bill’s passage.

Political pundits believe that Prime Minister Modi’s trip to Thrissur marks the start of the Lok Sabha election campaign.

In the Lok Sabha seat of Thrissur, the BJP is seeking to win.

Actor Suresh Gopi, a resident of the seat, would represent the party. Gopi had run unsuccessful campaigns in the Thrissur constituency for the Lok Sabha seat in 2019 and the Assembly seat in 2021
