FedEx provides food to victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan.

RIYADH: As part of its ongoing efforts in South Asia, the Saudi humanitarian FedEx organization KSrelief gave 1,000 food packages to victims of the recent earthquake in Afghanistan’s Zinda Jan District.

The distribution, which occurred only days after 3,850 people in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province received 550 winter packs from the charitable group, benefited 375 families and 6,000 individuals, according to officials.

According to a Saudi Press Agency article on Wednesday, the most recent support was a part of the center’s humanitarian and relief assistance program, which it offers to those in need all around the world.

At the KSrelief offices in Riyadh, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, the assistant general supervisor for operations and programs at KSrelief, met separately with Annette Weber, the European Union’s special envoy for the Horn of Africa, and her group.

They talked about strategies to boost humanitarian efforts in the east African peninsula region and aid concerns that influence it.
