UAE: 50% Discounts In Sharjah Traffic Fines

    • The emirate informed drivers earlier this week that as of April 1, 2023, they will receive a 35% discount if they pay their fee within a short period after committing a violation. On Thursday, it was announced that Sharjah traffic fines for drivers will now be reduced by 50%.
    • In addition to halving the fine traffic penalties, impoundment orders and black points for infractions incurred before March 31, 2023, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammad Alai, director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police, would be removed.
    • The discount is available to drivers for one month.
    • Sharjah announced earlier this week that as of April 1, 2023, drivers would receive a 35% discount if the fine is paid within 60 days of the violation's date of commission. Car owners will receive a 25% discount if they pay the penalty within 60 to 1 year after the infraction.
