The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) revealed that more than 17,000 confidential complaints were filed by employees in 2025 as part of ongoing efforts to protect workers’ rights. The rise in reports reflects growing awareness among employees about legal protections and increased trust in official systems designed to safeguard the workforce.
The announcement comes at a time when the labour market is seeing significant changes, with greater emphasis on transparency, ethical practices, and early resolution of workplace disputes.
According to the Ministry, the complaints were submitted through authorised and secure channels, showing that workers are playing an active role in maintaining fair and safe work environments alongside organisational monitoring mechanisms. Mohre highlighted that confidential reporting has become an essential tool for addressing labour violations while protecting employees from pressure or retaliation.
Data from the Labour Market Observatory also showed that more than 4,000 reports related to labour market violations were submitted by community members in 2025. This indicates a broader and more inclusive oversight approach, encouraging cooperation between workers, employers, and the wider community to improve compliance and ensure long-term sustainability.
