The Honourable Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has mandated that commercial, residential buildings situated on the main roads within the emirate be immediately connected to the sewage network.
Sharjah Radio and Television’s “Direct Line” programme featured an announcement regarding the directive.
In April, Sheikh Sultan gave the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) the go-ahead to start finishing up the sewerage network projects in the Kalba Al Saf and Al Ghail neighborhoods of the Al Fraish suburb of Kalba.
The Executive Council member and Head of SDPW, Eng. Ali Bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, states that these projects are a component of the sewage plan SDPW previously finished in 16 Square, 19 Square (Al Saf 8), Al Qal’ah.
Completing the sewage network projects that were partially carried out in several phases in some regions of the two neighborhoods, like Al Ghail 5, Al Ghail 6, Al Saf 3, Al Saf 7, Al Saf 8, and others, is part of the final studies and designs being completed for the project.
Al Suwaidi emphasized that by integrating sewage networks and eliminating the need for tanks, the projects greatly contribute to protecting the environment, public health, and safety, assuring smooth traffic flow and bolstering the circular economy.
