400 Scholarships Are Available in Dubai for Deserving Emirati Students Attending Private Schools

Dubai’s private schools offer over 400 scholarships to deserving Emirati students. As part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the Knowledge Fund Establishment have partnered on the project.

The scholarships, known as the Dubai Distinguished Students Programme, will pay half of the yearly tuition costs for deserving Emirati students attending institutions that received a “Good or Better” rating in the most recent inspections.

The director-general of KHDA, Aisha Abdulla Miran, expressed gratitude to the participating schools for the scholarship programme as well as the Knowledge Fund.

We are grateful to the Knowledge Fund, our partners, for their support of this project. We also applaud the proactive approach taken by the involved schools, which shows their commitment to developing exceptional Emirati students through the provision of 50% tuition-free scholarships. We invite more private schools to collaborate with us on this project,” she declared.

The International Baccalaureate, American, and British curricula will all be taught in the schools taking part in the program’s first year.

Students who are Emirati and have a family book issued by the Emirate of Dubai are eligible to apply for the scholarship programme. For students in Grades 4 or 5 through Grade 10 or 11, who are either newly enrolled in or currently attending public or private schools in Dubai, it will cover 50% of their tuition.

A committee will oversee the programme to make sure that instruction meets the high standards required of participating schools.
