UAE: Floods Impede Search efforts for a Five-day-Missing Teen in Sharjah

Sharjah Police are looking for a Pakistani kid, 17, who disappeared five days ago. Last Sunday at 4:15 p.m., Abdullah departed from his Abu Shagara house to run a usual errand, but he hasn’t been seen since. A report on him has been made missing by his relatives.

Mohammad Ali, Abdullah’s father and owner of a used car dealership, claimed that he sent his son to a local furniture store to hire a carpenter to fix some things around the house, but Abdullah never returned.

Ali emphasized the difficulties caused by the recent floods, which prevented them from using their automobiles to look for Abdullah. “The flooded streets have impeded our efforts,” he stated. I had to walk to the police station today to receive updates. Just after morning prayers at 5:30 a.m., I departed from my house.

Abdullah, one of two sons, lives with his father Ali, who has been in the United Arab Emirates for 26 years, and his two other children, a son, age three, and a daughter, age twenty. We are all terribly missing him. Ali remarked, “My wife, Ayesha, hasn’t eaten much and is always crying and praying for his safe return.

The reason for the disappearance is especially mysterious as my son didn’t appear distressed or disturbed before to his departure.
