During an interview with The Emirates Times, Yves Preissler, the owner of Yves Preissler Business Consulting, talks about his professional journey and pathway of driving towards a fitter world. “What is your company offering as a product or service to the market?” We asked.
“Yves Preissler Business Consulting is a team of professionals who bring a wealth of global expertise in providing fitness turnkey solutions for commercial, residential, hotel, and large-scale home gyms.
We guide investors, developers, and business owners through all the stages required in a successful project: market/competitive studies, feasibility analysis, financials, location sourcing, concept design, development, project management, recruitment, sales, marketing, and operations.” Yves shared.
“That sounds interesting. Could you also tell us how you started your career journey?”
Yves further continues, “I have personally been active and connected to the health and fitness industry from a young age.
Being an active Judoka from the age of 5 to 25, having used fitness clubs since the age of 16, and having completed my first fitness qualification at 21, whereby I started as a Fitness Trainer within the industry. One can say I have always worked within Fitness, which allows me to claim expert status, spanning a career over the last 20 years in one industry. “says Yves.
You have worked in this industry for over 20 years and have gained exceptional expertise. Do you have some advice for beginners?
“To be successful in any industry, choose an industry that you see as relevant in the future.
Fitness has been growing every year since I started in the industry and is today more relevant than ever. Fitness training and exercise is also something anyone must do themselves and repeatedly do to see or keep results, and it is not easily replaced by technology.
So, my advice is to choose an industry, product, service, etc., which has growth opportunities and stays relevant.” says Yves.

We further asked, “What is the goal of your company?”
Yves continues, “We aim to contribute to a fitter and healthy society by designing fitness and leisure facilities for first-timers and seasoned users alike. Each club is built for its target market, with the investor in mind, meaning our projects are cost-effective and profitable.”
Businesses need to have an aspect that makes them unique or adds innovation to their business pathway. We wanted to know the same about Yves’ company. So we asked him, “What is the signature of YP Fitness Projects?”
“All projects we accept are looked at as individual projects and part of the fitness market and catchment they are located in.
We plan, design, and execute specifically with the target customer in mind and create member journeys that engage the user long-term.
The interior design and club layouts are structured effectively so that we create as much revenue-generating space as possible. Our equipment selection is rarely wall-to-wall installed by the same brand, as we suggest best in class and best for the target customer. No supplier has a range featuring each and every piece with the best biomechanics and design to train effectively.” he says.

Teamwork also has a crucial role in any business so that it can succeed. Several aspects lead to team success. We were curious about what’s the most crucial aspect for Yves and his team to attain success. So, we asked, “What makes the team successful?”
He continues, “Effective teams pursue common outcomes and have common goals. Healthy teams have mutual respect amongst all team members, yet do not fail to challenge each other – including management team members.
Each team member’s skills and contributions are valued, learning is shared, and improvement opportunities are discussed and implemented.
Trust, communication, and effective leadership are at the core of high-performing teams.”
And what strengthens you to tackle challenges?
“Continued improvement is in every YP team member’s DNA. Every project is unique and therefore has challenges. We enable our teams with decision-making power and tools to thrive through challenges.”
Is Technology The Key?
We have also noticed the rise in technological trends among businesses. Is it helping you as well?
He continues, “Technology helps increase the efficiency of systems, products, and services. It helps to track and streamline processes, maintain data flow, and manage contacts.
A good example is fitness club management software. It assists with housing member data, a plethora of reports usable for effective club management, and it’s a communication tool for the club team to the member, as well as a tool for the member to interact with the club.
Technology can reduce costs and decrease human error. For YP and our client’s technology has been helpful in data analytics, club design, and back-office setup.”
