UAE Suspends Four Operators and Fines Nineteen Hajj and Umrah Operators for Violations

The 19 Hajj and Umrah operators that were fined are the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE). In addition, the Licensing Committee suspended the permits of four Hajj campaigns for violating pertinent laws, rules, and guidelines.

These choices align with the GAIAE’s mission to improve Hajj offerings and guarantee first-rate treatment for pilgrims travelling from the United Arab Emirates. This is in line with the prudent leadership guidelines and the strategy of the UAE government.

This occurred after all pilgrims’ concerns regarding the previous Hajj season (1445 AH/2024) were addressed by the Authority’s Licensing Committee, which also took the appropriate action in compliance with applicable laws and rulings.

The Authority emphasised that campaigners should respect the agreements made with pilgrims regarding the calibre of services rendered, as stated in the contracts, and should not break any of them. Being indifferent to pilgrims goes against the principles and mindset of our nation, which is dedicated to their welfare and the honour of providing for them,” GAIAE continued.

The Authority has declared that it will take into account the obstacles and problems that have arisen in developing Hajj services, which are undergoing a qualitative shift in accordance with changes in people’s lives. To draw pilgrims and entice them to join, the Authority has urged campaigners to innovate in the calibre of their offerings.
