UAE Sends Sympathies to India on Behalf of the Landslip and Flood Victims in Kerala

The UAE has sent its deepest sympathies and support to India in response to the floods and landslides that struck the state of Kerala, leaving numerous people dead or injured.

The Indian government, people, and victims’ families and relatives were all given the heartfelt condolences and sympathy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the traumatic loss. The authorities wished for a quick recovery for everyone hurt in the natural disasters.

Due to the heavy rains in the northern part of the state of Kerala, the Emirates mission in Kerala earlier today advised Indian citizens to use caution.

Local media reported that landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, claimed the lives of over 70 people. The state has declared today and tomorrow as official mourning days.

There were approximately 116 injuries. A major bridge collapsed in the area, hindering rescue efforts. An alternative bridge is being built with the assistance of Army engineers, according to a statement from the chief minister’s office. The lack of internet access in the area has further complicated rescue efforts.
