The Global Terrorism Index is one of the indicators surveyed by the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation “MoFAIC,” and its data is supported by the Ministry’s Global Peace and Stability Initiative. Under this initiative, the Index data is supported by communication from the Ministry with the influence of international sources like the United Nations and international organizations, specialized research institutes and centers, and the Institute for Economics and Peace. MOSAIC also provides national reports on the UAE’s efforts in combatting terrorism, which shows the Ministry’s active role, involved agencies, and governmental technical committees in the fight against extremism.

The Global Terrorism Index provides a comprehensive summary of the global patterns and trends influencing terrorism over the last two decades. It is based on analyzing different social and economic conditions and influential geopolitical factors.
