UAE denies Israeli strike on the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza

The UAE denies Israeli  strike on the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza has been vehemently denounced by the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE’s adamant opposition to the targeting of this committee, as well as any other organizations and civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, was reaffirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in a statement.

The Ministry emphasizes that protecting civilian lives and making ensuring that humanitarian aid, relief supplies, and medical attention are delivered promptly, safely, sustainably, and without interference are of the utmost importance.

The Ministry reiterated the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in order to stop more deaths, the significance of safeguarding civilians and civilian institutions in accordance with international law, including treaties, and the requirement to make sure they are not the target of conflict.

In order to prevent the region from being dragged into new heights of violence, tension, and instability, the UAE called on the international community to step up efforts to advance all efforts toward achieving a comprehensive and just peace and to avoid exacerbating the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
