This weekend, Sheikh Zayed Road will be free of automobiles as Dubai Run takes over.

This weekend, there will be a run on the busiest highway in the United Arab Emirates, which in Dubai will become the largest running track in the world. On Sunday, November 26, the Sheikh Zayed Road will be cleared of cars as runners take over the roadway for the Dubai Run, which will mark the conclusion of the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Thousands of people will sign up for the free run, regardless of their running ability or age. There are two route options available for the Dubai Run, both of which pass by some of the most famous sites in the city:

5 km Downtown stretch: This route starts at the Museum of the Future on Sheikh Zayed Road, goes by the Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, and ends close to Dubai Mall.

The 0 km Sheikh Zayed Road :route is intended for seasoned runners seeking a more strenuous course. It begins at the Museum of the Future, travels across the bridge over the Dubai Canal, turns around on Sheikh Zayed Road, and ends next to the DIFC Gate.
A supercar display by the Dubai Police will precede the run.
