The UAE has hailed the summit’s outcome, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. During the summit, Libyan parties agreed to supervise presidential and parliamentary elections while reaffirming Libya’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) praised the Arab League’s efforts to ensure the success of the meeting and the significant agreements reached to seek a political settlement in Libya. The Ministry expressed hope that the agreement would be a key step toward improving the country’s security and stability and supporting the United Nations mission’s efforts.
Furthermore, the Ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering position in favor of resolving the Libyan conflict, as well as its full support for efforts to strengthen security, stability, and unity in accordance with the roadmap outcomes, Security Council resolutions, and the outcomes of the political dialogue endorsed by the UN mission and the UN Security Council.
