The humanitarian operation known as "Gallant Knight 3" in Gaza has the UAE President establishing a fully functional field hospital.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, has ordered the establishment of a comprehensive Emirati field hospital in the Gaza Strip in order to provide Palestinians with critical medical care.

Included in the humanitarian operation ‘Gallant Knight 3′ is the initiative that the Ruler ordered yesterday.

Today, five aircraft with the supplies and equipment required for the field hospital took out from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The cargo is scheduled to be conveyed to the Gaza Strip after being unloaded at Egypt’s Al-Arish Airport.

There will be several phases to the establishment of the 150-bed field hospital. It will have intensive care units and anesthesia for both adults and children, as well as departments for gynecology, orthopedics’, pediatrics, and general surgery.

Additionally, internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry, and family medicine clinics will be housed in the building. Laboratory, pharmacy, and CT imaging are examples of supplemental services. Other medical support services will also be provided.

The initiative is a manifestation of the United Arab Emirates’ longstanding support and solidarity with the Palestinian people, especially given the difficult circumstances that are now in place.
