Sheikh Mohammed Establishes Regulations Regarding Ribbons, Orders, Badges, and Medals.

The Honourable In his capacity as the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, issued Law No. 12 for 2024 about Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s ribbons, orders, medals, and badges.

Ribbons, orders, medals, and badges are given to people who have achieved great things, to organizations, companies, and individuals who have played a notable role in charitable, humanitarian, and volunteer work, and to distinguished scientists and researchers in specialized scientific fields in recognition of their noteworthy contributions to the arts, sports, culture, and creativity.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ribbon, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Order, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Medal, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Badge are being introduced in Dubai under the law. New orders, ribbons, medals, badges, or other classifications, kinds, or ceremonies of honor may also be necessary.

In accordance with the provisions of this law, the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum will establish an organizational unit within its structure known as the General Secretariat for the Medals of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
