Sheikh Hamdan: Dh152 Million Bonus for Dubai Government Employees Approved

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, on Sunday, approved the allocation of a performance-based bonus totaling Dh152 million to government employees of Dubai government entities.

The performance bonus, determined by the criteria set by the Dubai Government Human Resources Department aims at motivating government employees to continue their exceptional performance. The emirate’s media office wrote that “Sheikh Hamdan approves the disbursement of a performance-based bonus totaling AED152 million to civilian employees of Dubai Government entities.”

The initiative shows the government’s commitment to recognizing outstanding work and ensuring a decent life for all national families and employees of the Dubai Government. This move also aims at attracting the best talents and minds to contribute to the government’s work system in Dubai. It is a double delight for working people as the bonus plan comes days after the authorities confirmed that New Year’s Day is a public holiday for government workers in the UAE. Dubai seeks to foster a culture of excellence and innovation among its government employees to create its mark on governance and public service.
