The President, His Excellency in International Global Humanitarianism, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is a source of inspiration because of his unwavering support for individuals and countries experiencing hardship.
OPERATION CHIVALROUS KNIGHT: President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, launched Operation Chivalrous Knight 2 in February 2023 to aid the people of Turkey and Syria after their respective countries’ devastating earthquakes.
One of the most effective coordinated operations carried out by UAE entities, the operation ran until July 13 of that year. Its priorities were set by authorities in the impacted nations, representing the UAE’s well-known humanitarian approach and following its leadership’s instructions to assist communities throughout the world.
Numerous people were saved from under the debris and 13,463 cases were treated as a result of the operation. 15,164 tonnes of humanitarian aid were also delivered via an air bridge, which coordinated 260 flights delivering 6,912 tonnes of emergency supplies, such as tents, food, and medication. In addition, four cargo ships carried 8,252 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the affected areas in order to provide supplies for reconstruction and relief efforts.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed gave the order to launch Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 on November 5 of that year in order to aid the Palestinian people in Gaza who were living under extremely difficult conditions.
