Rainfall in the UAE: Drivers are Advised Against Using Phones or Other Risky Actions Like Drifting in Inclement Weather.

Light to moderate rainfall was reported in several areas of Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Wednesday, January 31. As a result, the police are advising drivers to drive carefully and pay attention, especially on forthcoming wet days. It is requested of the public that they pledge to drive defensively and avoid being distracted by their phones when it is raining.

The National Centre of Meteorology for the United Arab Emirates has forecast a chance of rain, particularly tonight and tomorrow morning. On Friday, there will be cloud cover and possible convective clouds across parts of the Northeast and North. On Saturday, the Met Department anticipates a sharp decrease in temperature.

Humid south-easterly winds will be accompanied by a surface low that extends from the southwest over the nation. The NCM also stated that there will be an extension of a low-pressure upper air trough and a westerly air stream, which will cause clouds to move in from the southwest.

Drivers are asked by Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) to observe speed restrictions, keep a safe distance, refrain from abrupt braking, and pull over to the side of the road if visibility is poor. In inclement weather, it’s crucial to double your safety distance from other cars.
