New Parking Areas in Abu Dhabi will Open on July 29

Authorities in Abu Dhabi announced on Saturday that paid parking will be implemented in two locations starting on Monday, July 29: the Khalifa Commercial District and Etihad Plaza in Khalifa City. There will now be paid parking in three sectors within those areas: SW2, SE45, and SE48.

Sector SE48 has 694 parking spaces, including 3 reserved for people of determination, and is situated at the Etihad Airways headquarters on Al Mireef Street. Sector SE45 is located at Etihad Plaza, between Al Mireef Street and Al Ibtisamah Street. It has 1,283 parking spaces, 17 of which are reserved for individuals with disabilities.

Sector SW2 is bordered to the north and south by Theyab Bin Eissa Street and Al Murahibeen Street, and it is situated between Al Marmouq Street and Al Qalayid Street to the west and east, respectively. There are 523 parking spots total, 17 of which are reserved for resolute individuals.

Following the completion of infrastructure projects and the installation of signboards, Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility) announced on X that the Mawaqif service would be launched. This program is an attempt to reduce instances of parking without permission and enhance security and safety.
