This groundbreaking technology, a collaboration between Chinese tech behemoth Huawei and the UAE’s second-largest telecom provider, du, is driven by Huawei’s state-of-the-art 5G-Advanced fixed wireless access technology. It offers residents a captivating experience with lifelike 3D visuals, crystal-clear 8K UHD broadcasts, and exhilarating XR gaming sessions. This technological marvel is made possible through du’s 5.5G Experience Carrier, delivering a staggering real-time peak speed of 10Gbps to its users.

Serving as a transitional phase from 5G to 6G, the 5G-Advanced technology introduces novel features. It ensures seamless connectivity, even for individuals traveling at high speeds, like those aboard trains or airplanes. Moreover, it adeptly caters to highly engaging and interactive applications, foreseeing extensive use in entertainment, training, and educational domains.

Fahad Al Hassawi, the CEO of du, expressed his pride in partnering with Huawei for the 5G-Advanced launch.

“Our unwavering dedication to introducing cutting-edge innovations is amplified when we collaborate with pioneering partners like Huawei. Today’s launch reaffirms our belief in our partnership. Together, we’re poised to redefine the market and showcase the pinnacle of what the UAE has to offer,” Al Hassawi remarked, following the inauguration of the 5.5G villa in Jumeirah Islands.
