Jordan and Egypt Emphasize their Opposition to Palestinians being Displaced Outside of their Borders.

King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi have emphasized that they entirely oppose the expulsion of Palestinians from their territories and that maintaining the two-state solution is essential to finding a fair and all-encompassing solution to the Palestinian problem.

On Monday, they reaffirmed the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and urged the international community to fulfill its commitments to address the grave humanitarian situation.

Both presidents spoke about recent regional events, particularly the current conflict in the Gaza Strip, and their attempts to reach a truce and provide access to relief and humanitarian supplies to the beleaguered region during a meeting in the capital of Jordan, Amman.

According to the Egyptian presidency, the meeting emphasized the significance of ongoing cooperation and consultation on regional and global developments, emphasizing the circumstances in Gaza. Both presidents spoke during their meeting in the capital of Jordan, Amman, about the most recent regional events, particularly the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, and their efforts to reach a truce and open the Strip’s borders to humanitarian and relief supplies.

They also both issued severe warnings about the possibly disastrous effects of any military action by the Israelis in the Palestinian city of Rafah.
