India: An airstrike on a Myanmar village results in at least 15 deaths.

An airstrike on a village in northwest Myanmar has killed at least fifteen people, including children, local media reported on Sunday.

Fighting has become increasingly savage throughout the nation, with the junta facing off against rivals in the east and north.

Around 10.15 am (0415 GMT), a community in Khampat Township, Tamu district, was struck by the strike.

Twenty individuals were injured, and fifteen people, including children, were reported dead by local media sources.

However, two witnesses—a man and a woman who requested anonymity out of concern for their safety—told AFP that the death toll was more significant.
He claimed to have seen a junta jet fighter flying overhead during the attack. “19 people were killed, including eight children,” the man stated.

“Most of them were killed outside the church area as they were running to escape,” he claimed. “The first bombs targeted two churches in the village, and a second attack came as people were fleeing the buildings.”

He claimed that the attack, which was made more lethal by the crowd, claimed the lives of women and children.
