Steps to become a cabin crew
Emirates is always recruiting flight attendants of different nationalities. The company holds open days in several countries. To find out which ones are next, visit the Emirates Careers website. Click on the “Cabin Crew Vacancies” tab and discover the locations and dates for the next open days.
Before applying, make sure you meet the requirements to become an Emirates stewardess:
- Be at least 21 years of age at the time of hiring.
- Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Have completed high school (12th grade).
- Reach 2.12 m barefoot, with arms outstretched and on tiptoe.
- No visible tattoos while wearing the Emirates uniform. Bandages or makeup to cover up tattoos are not allowed.
- Be physically fit to meet the requirements of the role.
- No glasses, but contact lenses are allowed.
If you meet the requirements, register on the website for an open day in your country. After signing up, the airline will send you an email confirming the location and date and informing you of what you need to take with you. You must bring your updated CV in English, the website registration form, and 2 passport-sized photos at this stage.
On the day of the event, you must go formally dressed. The boys are in a suit, and the girls are in a skirt (to the knee), shirts, blazers, and shoes. Girls should wear a bun in their hair or another formal hairstyle and should not overuse makeup, no vibrant shades, and bet on neutral makeup.
Emirates, and Dubai benefits, salary, and duties will be presented on this day. If you have any doubts, this is the right time to clarify them. Then there will be quick personal interviews. They will be done in English, so prepare yourself beforehand.
At the interview, the interviewer will ask if you have visible tattoos, and a height test will be taken to confirm that you meet this requirement. In addition, there will be an English test in which you may be asked to write an essay in English, read a text in English, or a group dynamic in which you will have to introduce the person sitting next to you.
