To unlock their impounded automobiles, drivers in Ras Al Khaimah will soon be subject to a harsher fine for specific traffic infractions. The RAK Police declared that the modification would take effect on March 1.
Drivers who break the law by participating in a march or procession while disobeying traffic regulations will have their cars booked for a minimum of 15 to 20 days, according to the new directions. Early release of an impounded car requires payment of a sum ranging from Dh1,000 to Dh10,000.
If a driver is caught driving with or without a fake license plate, their car will be impounded for 120 days. Violations are subject to an early release penalty of Dh20,000.
Drivers who illegally alter their cars to make them faster or noisier risk having their vehicles seized for sixty days. There will be a Dh5,000 fine for those who want to keep their car.
Penalties for abandoning car parts in undesignated areas, such as on public or private roadways, are also included in the new order. It has also created guidelines for cars delivering water and for selling automobiles in areas that are not designated.
