Kyiv: The dozens of the city reported that at least 45 people were injured as a result of Russian missile attacks that destroyed a hospital and residential building in the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday.
Many explosions were heard by an AFP journalist in the city, and shortly after, air raid sirens were activated.
“The enemy attack resulted in 45 injuries overall in the Dniprovsky district. Among them, two youngsters made up the 18 who were hospitalized. Thirty-seven people, including three children, got immediate medical attention,” Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on social media.
Two children were among the eighteen injured who were admitted to the hospital.
During the night attack, he claimed, “a missile fell on the territory of one of the capital’s hospitals,” causing windows to be “blown out in several buildings of the facility.”
The mayor said that one person was hurt at the hospital.
He continued, saying that the responding police were “inspecting the crater on the territory of the medical facility.”
In addition, Klitschko stated that “an apartment building was damaged as a result of the enemy’s night missile attack (on) the capital’s Dniprovsky district.”
A number of inhabitants were taken out.
According to Klitschko, the district’s water supply network was harmed by missile debris that fell on a road.
