Cepa Council Director: By 2030, Double Non-Oil Trade Between India and The UAE

Since the signing of the Cepa agreement, bilateral trade between India and the UAE has increased significantly to over $50 billion, intending to approach $100 billion by the end of this decade.

According to UAE-India Cepa Council Director Ahmed Aljneibi, speaking to ANI, non-oil bilateral commerce between the two partner countries has increased by 16% since the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement was signed in 2022, hitting over $50 billion.

And by 2030, we want to have reached about $100 billion. The Cepa Council intends to make the most of the agreement’s advantages by educating the Indian business community, particularly during one of our first roundtables held today in Chennai. It’s been a productive conversation,” Aljneibi remarked from Chennai.

To further the UAE-India economic partnership, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the UAE-India Cepa Council (UICC) organized a business roundtable for exporters headquartered in Chennai.
