According to a statement posted on the website of the lower house of parliament Bahrain cancels business relation its ambassador to Israel and cut off commercial ties.
Amidst Israel’s ongoing conflict in Gaza, the statement was made.
“The kingdom of Bahrain has chosen to recall its Israeli envoy, as confirmed by the House of Representatives, and the Israeli ambassador has departed the country. The parliament statement also stated that economic links with Israel had been severed.
The parliament declares that it is right to demand more decisions and actions that protect the lives of civilians and innocent people in Gaza and other Palestinian areas due to the ongoing military operations and war, as well as the Israeli government’s persistent escalation in disregard for international humanitarian law.
Later, official media announced that the decision had been made, stating that the Israeli envoy to Bahrain had left the nation “some time ago” and that the ambassador to Israel had returned to the kingdom.
Bahrain’s government has not made any formal announcement about a decision to reduce or terminate diplomatic ties.
A news release from Lior Haiat, a spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry, stated, “We would like to clarify that no notification or decision has been received from the Bahraini government or the Israeli government to recall the countries’ ambassadors.”
