A two-hour daily decrease in working hours has been announced for private sector employees during the Holy Month of Ramadan by the Ministry of Human Resources and UAE Emiratization (MoHRE).
“Companies may apply flexible or remote work patterns within the limits of the daily working hours during Ramadan, depending on the requirements and nature of their work,” the Ministry stated.
The Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 on the Regulation of Labor Relations and its Amendments are being implemented with the announcement.
The Authority also noted that federal government departments will allow a maximum of 70 percent of their staff to work from home on Fridays during Ramadan according to the approved regulations.
On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, FAHR extended congratulations to the UAE’s leadership, citizens and residents.
