The President of the UAE Forms the Council for Advanced Technology and Artificial Intelligence.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has signed a law creating the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The council will be in charge of creating and carrying out policies and plans for Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure, research, and investments in cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence.

Peng Xiao, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, and Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai were also named as members of the AIATC by the resolution.

The AIATC was founded because of a strong belief in the role that technology leadership will play in creating the economy of the future.

The council aims to elevate Abu Dhabi’s standing in the domains of advanced technology and artificial intelligence by formulating strategies and research initiatives in conjunction with regional and international collaborators.
