Travel plans for UAE citizens are impacted as hundreds of flights in India are canceled.

Sadia Anwar UAE citizens had one intention when she booked a flight to the Indian capital of New Delhi with her two kids: to reach her sick father in Bhopal as soon as possible. However, she had to miss her connecting flight to Bhopal because her flight was canceled. After that, she was placed on an aircraft to Mumbai, which left more than two hours early.

She said, “I got a call that my dad was on a ventilator.” “This flight cancellation and delay was very frustrating; I only wanted to get home to him as soon as possible.”

Due to bad weather, thousands of travelers, including Sadia, have had their flights canceled throughout India. “In the past two days, there have been over 150 flights to and from India that have been canceled or delayed,” stated Safeer Mahamood, general manager of Smart Travels. “The airport in New Delhi was the hardest hit. Multiple local and foreign flights were eventually impacted by the airport’s delays, which had a cascading effect.

Several Indian cities, most notably New Delhi, have been dealing with unusual fog levels and severe weather, making it very difficult to see in their airports. This has had a major effect on air travel, leading to widespread delays and cancellations nationwide. While some travelers vented their anguish on social media, others went to tremendous lengths.
