UAE: On New Year's Eve, a temporary ban was announced on a number of automobiles in Abu Dhabi.

A prohibition on some vehicles entering Abu Dhabi Island In UAE on New Year’s Eve has been declared by Abu Dhabi.

Beginning on Sunday, December 31, 2023, and ending on Monday, January 1, 2024, the movement of trucks, heavy vehicles, and buses carrying laborers will be prohibited, according to a statement released by the Directorate of Traffic and the Integrated Transport Center.

The prohibition will take effect at 7 a.m. on Sunday and last until 7 a.m. on Monday.
Vehicles used for logistics and cleaning services are excluded.

The aforementioned vehicles are not permitted to travel across the Sheikh Zayed, Maqta, Musaffah, or Sheikh Khalifa bridges as a result of this prohibition.

To increase efficiency, traffic control will be strengthened using smart technology and traffic patrols will be placed on all roadways. It is recommended that drivers follow the law in order to support efforts to increase traffic safety.
