UAE: A Palestinian cancer patient from Gaza, age 58, passes away in a hospital

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said on Saturday that a 58-year-old male patient who had traveled from the Gaza Strip had died of cardiac arrest. The patient “was suffering from an advanced stage of cancer and critical health complications.”

“The patient’s condition steadily worsened despite the medical team’s best efforts, which ultimately resulted in his death.”

The Ministry sent its sincere condolences to the deceased’s family, wishing them divine comfort and fortitude during this trying period, with deep sorrow.

A Palestinian youngster from Gaza, age six, lost his battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 6.

The 58-year-old patient’s and the young patient’s identities were kept a secret. They were a part of the hundreds of cancer patients and injured people who were flown from Gaza to the United Arab Emirates for emergency medical care at different hospitals. This humanitarian effort was initiated by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
