First flight of Air Arabia departs for Phuket, a popular tourist destination in Thailand.

Air Arabia, located in Sharjah, held a ceremony at Sharjah International Airport on Saturday to commemorate the launch of its inaugural trip to Phuket, Thailand.

Senior management representatives from Sharjah International Airport and Air Arabia were present, along with Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Khanin Boony Asopat, Consul of Thailand to the UAE.

Air Arabia’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Adel Al Ali, stated: “We are happy to announce the inaugural trip from Air Arabia to Phuket, a well-known tourist destination. We are eager to provide travelers with more reasonably priced travel options by growing our network of locations. Our commitment to provide simple travel options and promoting the expansion of the travel and tourism sectors in both countries is bolstered by this launch.

Phuket, the largest island in Thailand, is a tropical paradise nestled in the Andaman Sea, renowned for its picturesque oceans and vibrant arts and culture scene. There will be four weekly flights operating between Phuket International Airport and Sharjah International Airport.

The most up-to-date and popular single aisle aircraft in the world, the Airbus A320 and A321, make up the contemporary fleet of 72 aircraft operated by Air Arabia. The aircraft provides passengers with an enhanced onboard experience by introducing “SkyTime,” a complimentary in-flight entertainment system, and “SkyCafe,” an economical onboard cuisine service.
