UAE National Day: Dates, location, and events are disclosed; official show information are released

The organizers of the UAE National Day ceremony revealed on Tuesday that it will take place in Expo City in Dubai. The national holiday, also known as UAE Union Day, is observed annually on December 2 to commemorate the union of the Emirates in 1971.

During the ceremony, Expo City, which is simultaneously holding the COP28 climate change summit from November 30 to December 12, will tell the tale of the nation’s sustainability. The December 2 event will take into account that 2023 is the Emirates’ Year of Sustainability.

From December 5 to 12, both expatriates and Emiratis will be able to witness the public ceremony.

We’ll be announcing more details about the tickets soon.

“The official ceremony, symbolised by various elements of Sadu weaving, will feature breathtaking projections and innovative technologies to portray the UAE’s rich heritage and the connecting threads of unity and sustainability across history,” the event’s organizers said in a statement on Tuesday.

Bedouins use sadu, a traditional weaving method, to create beautiful ornaments and soft furnishings. It was listed as “intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding” by UNESCO in 2011.

The show will demonstrate the legacy of the ancestors and the interaction between tradition and technology, starting at the roots of Emirati culture and heritage and reflecting our common dedication to nurturing and protecting our interconnected planet, according to the organizers.
