Welcome to the future nation, the vice president greets Radiocommunication Conference attendees.

The Honorable The UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Welcome to the future nation expressed his delight in the country on Monday for hosting the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC)-2023 in the Emirate of Dubai.

“The world’s most important radiocommunications conference is being hosted by the UAE, represented by its government, today. Over 4,500 government officials from 193 countries as well as 900 international organizations, universities, and companies from around the world are in attendance,” Sheikh Mohammed stated via the X platform.

He went on, “The nations of the world systematize wireless communications, their frequencies, and their role in new sectors such as health, education, manufacturing, smart cities, and others in the World Radiocommunication Conference.”

“We are proud that the UAE government is hosting such a mega global event,” Sheikh Mohammed continued. We extend a warm welcome to all dignitaries, business leaders, and academicians, and declare the United Arab Emirates to be the nation of the future.”

The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) is a global forum for governments and other relevant bodies to review and amend international treaties and regulations as needed. It also serves as a forum for debating important global issues pertaining to radio, radiocommunications, satellites, and related fields.
Every three to four years, Egypt hosted the World Rugby Championship (WRC) in 2019. The conference will take place for the seventh time this century in Dubai in 2023.
