The Director General of the Head of Sharjah’s Child Safety Department , Hanadi Al Yafei, stated: “Every year on November 20th, we honor the priceless essence of childhood as we observe World Children’s Day. We must adamantly recognize the pressing need to include child rights into every aspect of our life.
Even while everyone agrees that children have rights, we nevertheless need to keep defining, defining, and classifying these rights while being alert to how rapidly cultures are changing and how they affect children’s safety and rights.
This year’s tagline, “For every child, every right,” highlights our unwavering commitment to ensuring each child’s special and general rights while taking into account their individual circumstances.
“We assert that protecting children’s rights and well-being symbolizes the most cherished social and cultural values within our society,” Al Yafei continued, drawing on CSD’s extensive experience in Sharjah and the visionary leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the wife of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, and the Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
This pledge is a reflection of our goals for the here and now. We really feel that making sure children are safe is a shared obligation that involves all facets of society and its institutions. Every organization is essential to ensuring children receive the greatest possible care as well as raising awareness and understanding about the best ways to raise them.
